But laziness overcome me everytime, so if you do try with applesauce, please drop a note here to tell me how it goes! :)

-- bimmerBimmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10509246043276179277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7019627830681116396.post-38680420370657316642011-11-08T13:19:56.377+08:002011-11-08T13:19:56.377+08:00Hi,

I actually find it quite nice.

This year, I also made my own pineapple paste and I did it this way.
Cut and remove all the eyes, and then grate them. Drain the juice, leaving only a little in the pot. Fry the pineapple for a while, about 5-10 min, then add 2 cloves and 2 star anise seeds (you can add more if you want more flavour). I add 4-5 tablespoons of sugar (depending on the sweetness of the pineapples) when it is almost dry, so that the sugar will not cook so long and will not brown so much.

Hope these help!Bimmerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10509246043276179277noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7019627830681116396.post-31391533272858747282010-03-01T11:19:54.760+08:002010-03-01T11:19:54.760+08:00Your open Pineapple tarts looks delicious.
